Its the final challenge episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the girls are headed to film a music video to RuPaul’s new song “Sissy That Walk” as well as a few acting scenes and a “lunch” with RuPaul one on one. The kicker with this episode, compared to other seasons, is that since season three the three remaining always stay post lip sync and the winner is announced on the final episode but this year we have a guaranteed elimination of one girl on this episode to keep things interesting and not just another filler episode.

This recap is going to be much like the episode, quick and slightly pointless.

Adore shows you don’t need 10 years in the business to be a star and stands her ground as a young queen throwing down for the crown. Bianca proves once again she’s a true force of nature and breaks down her wall a little bit to show her softer side. Courtney talks about how talented she is. Darienne slays the challenge and once again slays with her lip syncing as well as her acting.

Hitting the runway in their own personal style of drag, all the girls receive good critiques and no one is truly put down in any way this week. When it comes time for the judges to deliberate, they more look back at past performances to pick a girl to go home because each girl this week really performed amazingly at the challenge. In the end, they throw a four way lip sync for your life at the girls and all four of them try to claim their stake at both the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar and $100,000.

Unfortunately someone still has to leave so that the top three can stay, and this week that is Miss Darienne Lake. This season has been one full of talent and truly any of the top three could take the title and represent it beautifully in their own way.

Final Score Sheet (besides the eliminated queen everyone was ranked safe this week):

Adore Delano: 34 + 3 (SAFE) = 37

Bianca Del Rio: 41 + 3 (SAFE) = 44

Courtney Act: 33 + 3 (SAFE) = 36

Darienne Lake: 27 + 1 (ELIM) = 28

Next week is the look back episode and then the crown will be given out the week after. Stayed tuned for next weeks look back recap as well as the overall score of every girl this cycle.
