It looks like the masterminds at Marvel are definitely ones for planning ahead! Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently revealed that the company has mapped out production plans for movies all the way into 2028!

Of course, many of those films are only in concept mode and the future is never set in stone, but it definitely looks like Marvel wants to continue its method of branching out new characters and plots from existing films in their ever-expanding and uniquely interconnected cinematic universe.

Feige also alluded to the future of Marvel movie casting, as other obligations and the unstoppable hand of time will eventually take some of our favorite actors out of their famous Marvel roles. Feige stated the right approach seemed to be a James Bond model of recasting and continuing the story rather than rebooting a particular character franchise.

The next Marvel release will be Captain America: The Winter Soldier which will be out in the U.S. on Friday, April 4th.

Guardians of the Galaxy will follow on August 1st, and Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1st, 2015.

As for me, I’m definitely hoping one of the movies in Marvel’s crystal ball is a solo film for Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief, the one and only Loki!
