American Horror Story fans are highly anticipating the upcoming fourth season, known as AHS:Freak Show. One of the stars of the show, Emma Roberts, took some time to talk to E! News about what we can expect from the season as well as her thoughts about the possibility of Jessica Lange leaving the AHS franchise.

Is the upcoming season scary? According toRoberts, it definitely is:

“American Horror Story in general scares me to death. I have to say, ‘Freak Show’ is really scarier… I read the script and I was having nightmares.”

What about the characters? Roberts will play a character known as “Maggie” who doesn’t look like she would be part of a freak show, but according to the actress, “…that might not be true.”

Her co-star Lange will pay a woman from Germany who is the manager of one of the last freak shows in the country. In the past, Lange has said that this will be her final season with the series, but Emma Roberts  had a bit to say about that:

“I think all of us have our fingers crossed that Jessica will come back next season. At least I do because I love working with her. I hope it’s not her last season.”

I hope so too, Emma… I am keeping my fingers crossed.

American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on the FX network on October 8th at 10pm ET.
