Andrew Garfield Gets Fans Excited At Comic Con

NULL

Staff Writer

Comic Con is a great place for upcoming films to promote themselves and get fans excited, and for The Amazing Spiderman 2, that is no different. Their panel at the event consists of the star Andrew Garfield (who actually appeared in his Spider-Man costume), co-star Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn),  director Marc Webb, and the producers Avid Arad and Matt Tolmach.

The footage they showed was an action scene in which the police are chasing comic book baddie Rhino (played by Paul Giamatti), before Spiderman himself gets involved. Eventually, he ends up rescuing an Oscorp employee named Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx); followed by a short scene featuring both Harry and Norman Osborn, in which Norman appears to be very ill. The footage then went on to show a very sad looking Peter Parker at a graveyard and finally Electro, who was flying over Times Square and firing electric bolts to cut the power.

All in all, it definitely seemed exciting, and the only critique one could give is that it might be rather basic and similar to the previous films. Then again, that’s hard to avoid after releasing five films in a dozen years, and for most fans, it’s definitely not a reason to get any less excited!

The film will be released on the second of May 2014, both in 2D and in 3D.
