The Oscar winning director has signed a deal with Universal Studios to direct a 3D movie about the history of boxing.
According to Deadline, the film will be an “epic look at the boxing world of the 1960s and 1970s, as seen through the prism of its biggest rivalries and greatest fights”.
Among these iconic fights will be Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier’s ‘Thrilla in Manila’.
It sounds promising!
Last May, Lee dropped out of the FX drama Tyrant, stating that “after spending over four years making and promoting Life of Pi, I have recently realized that I need some rest”.
We’re looking forward to this upcoming project!
