It’s been a while since Angelina Jolie Pitt has started giving more emphasis on being behind the camera as a director, than in front of it as an actress. However, she will be doing both in the upcoming By The Sea, co-starring with Brad Pitt, which now has a trailer to go by.

By The Sea centers around a 70′s couple in crisis, Roland (Brad Pitt) and Vanessa (Angelina Jolie Pitt), who travel to a European seaside location and while meeting others, they heavily deal with their unsolved issues. The first trailer might be rather short and not so revealing, but works perfectly in terms of affection. Both actors deliver the melancholy and sorrow of their characters’ troubled relationship perfectly on screen, making the film  seem like a great romantic drama already. The settings and atmosphere are unique as well, as the essence of the era is beautifuly protrayed.

The forthcoming movie was filmed in Malta, during the couple’s actual honeymoon there. It was Angelina Jolie Pitt who came up with the concept all by herself and therefore wrote the script as well. Alongside Brangelina, By The Sea stars Mélanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvil Poupaud and Richard Bohringer. It is expected to arrive in theaters on November 13 via Universal, but until then, take a look at the trailer below.
