Anna Paquin As Rogue in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Re-Release Scenes

Anna Paquin will appear in an additional 17 minutes of the X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut as director Bryan Singer re-releases new cut of film.

Anna Paquin will appear in an additional 17 minutes of the X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut!

After footage of our favorite skunk-striped superhero was struck from the 2013 release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer is preparing to share Anna Paquin’s scenes in a new cut of the film.  Appropriately titled the X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut, the new edition of the film will be included on the July 14 re-release of the film.

In the footage that has been released to tease the Rogue cut, Ashmore (Iceman) and Ian McKellen (the original Magneto) engage in a dramatic attempt to rescue Rogue from the reaches of the bad guys.  Other images that have been released feature photos of Paquin utilizing her power to take the place of Ellen Paige (Shadowcat) to send Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) back in time.  Mutant abilities really come in handy, folks!

Anna Paquin has been a staple in the first three X-Men films since their 2000 debut.  The award-winning actress showed off her battle skills as well as her dramatic acting chops while playing the mutant.  Her role as the plucky mutant with the dangerous cut was well received by critics and fans alike.

Singer explained the decision to remove the footage from the film way back in 2013 after explaining that it didn’t fit in with the flow of the rest of the film.  Even back then he promised that the footage would eventually be made available to fans, because he promised that it was a “really good sequence.”

In fact, Singer also promised that the X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut will feature a few additional changes alongside the addition of Anna Paquin.

It is currently unclear what role Paquin will be playing when she dons her iconic skunk-striped hair and latex body suit, but we wait with baited breath to find out!
