The upcoming HBO series Westworld has been getting a lot of buzz, and now this buzz is even bigger thanks to the announcement that Oscar-winner Anthony Hopkins will join the project.
This sci-fi remake will be Hopkins’ first regular TV gig. According to EW.com, in the show he will play a man, Dr. Robert Ford, who is in charge of a theme park where robots begin attacking park guests.
Another well-known name, Evan Rachel Wood, will also play a part in the series. She will play Dolores Abernathy, a Midwestern farm girl who will come to a rude awakening throughout the series.
The Westworld pilot was co-written by Jonathan Nolan, known for writing Person of Interest, and Lisa Joy, best known for Burn Notice. Nolan will direct the series along with Joy, while Jerry Weintraub, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk will executive produce.
