If you’re exhausted from a very long, very tiring Thanksgiving long-weekend. So sit back, unbutton your pants and enjoy this turkey of a story!
It began on Thanksgiving Day when a woman named “Diane” had a ridiculous encounter with TV producer/Twitter personality Elan Gale (@theyearofelan), who live tweeted it all for our pleasure. Are you ready for this?
We begin when the US Airways flight to Phoenix, AZ was delayed: Diane is irate because the flight is delayed and she, hilariously, declares she has Thanksgiving plans with her family (Elan notes “she is the only one, obviously”).
The plane finally takes off.
Elan sends the woman a glass of wine with a note that reads “It has come to my attention that today is YOUR Thanksgiving. It must be hard to not be with your family! Please accept this glass of wine. It is a gift from me to you. Hopefully if you drink it, you won’t be able to use your mouth to talk. Love, Elan”
Elan continues to pester the woman by sending her two bottles of vodka; the flight attendant won’t give them to her and insists Elan do so, which he willing does.
Diane is not happy about this foolery and responds to Elan with her own note that reads: “Dear “Elan”. The wine wasn’t funny. The vodka wasn’t funny. You’re an awful person with no compassion. I’m sorry for your family that they should have to deal with you. Diane”.
Elan tweets “This means war”. The two pass more notes between each other until they land.
Once they do, Diane slaps Elan! The airport security grabs her and asks Elan if he wants them to contact the police. He says no because it’s now evident that “Diane” will be missing her connecting flight, which causes Elan to laugh uproariously. Karma!
He has one final note for Diane, it reads “Diane, look me up online. Read every tweet and maybe, next time, you’ll be nice to people who are trying to help”
