Beck Is Back With Funky Dance Track, Dreams

Fresh off his Grammy Award win for best album, Beck had dropped a new dance track that departs from his usual style. It is sure to get you moving!

Coming off his Grammy winning album Morning PhaseBeck had his own shoes to fill with what would come next.

He has always been known for changing his sound and bringing new types of music to the scene, and he has yet to disappoint.   His last album had a southern sound, a little country twang, but this new track is the complete opposite of that.

“Dreams” is an upbeat, fun song that makes a change around the three-minute mark.  It’s an interesting transition where the beat kind of slows down and lets you get into the song a little deeper.

This song is a dance floor ready track with good lyrics.  The singer uses a falsetto that sounds really nice on top of the music.  It kind of reminds me of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and gives me a need to dance when I listen.

Beck confirmed that this song will be a single off his next album, though he has revealed nothing else.  If the album is anything like this song, it’ll be a lot of fun!  He teased “Dreams” last Thursday on Instagram and it lives up to the hype.

Will Kanye enjoy this song? In response to the Grammy/Kanye drama, Beck handled it with grace saying, “I still love [West] and think he’s genius. I aspire to do what he does.”

Now get out your headphones and jam to this track for the rest of the day!  It is guaranteed to get you moving.
