Ben Affleck’s Reaction To Batman V Superman’s Reviews Hit You In The Feels

He may be a world renowned actor, but Ben Affleck had issues hiding how upset he was by the bad reviews of Batman V Superman. Watch it all go down here!

He may be a multi-millionaire, one of the world’s most famous movie stars, and an Academy Award winner to boot, but Ben Affleck is still human and his feelings get hurt when faced with harsh criticism just like anyone else…

And he has had his fair share of criticism over the years. From Gigli, which is considered one of the worst films of all time and one of the most expensive box office bombs ever, to the widespread social media backlash over his Batman casting Ben has become one of Hollywood’s favorite whipping boys.

Years of abuse must have gotten to him, and in a recent interview with Yahoo Movies the actor is visibly pensive and forlorn when he and co-star Henry Cavill were asked about the negative reviews of the film.

Cavill, who appeared upbeat, took over at that point “the interesting thing is that we get the critics who have their personal opinions,” he said, then added “and the thing about personal opinions is that they always come from a place. And there’s a preconceived idea which you have to get past a critic before you start writing your article or your review, and that affects everything.”

Affleck meanwhile just sat silently deep in thoughts. A Youtube user named Sabconth later uploaded an edited version of the interview, and gave it the title of ‘Sad Affleck.’

In it, he interposed snippets of bad reviews and zoomed in on Ben Affleck’s face as the actor contemplated the meaning of it all. Sabconth then dubbed Simon and Garfunkel’s hit single “The Sound Of Silence” over the words of the interview. The song ended when Cavill had finished with his words, and Affleck half-heartedly concurred with his co-star.

Ben was probably thinking how much he wanted Matt Damon to cuddle him and tell him that everything will be alright.

But then again he may have perked up by now since Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice had just reported a record breaking $170.1 million gross in the domestic box office!

Take that critics, now leave Ben Affleck alone.
