Ben Whishaw Goes From Rock To Lobster With New Film

Queen may want the actor to play Freddie Mercury, but Ben Whishaw will officially be starring alongside Olivia Colman will be starring in the upcoming film The Lobster. The romantic film is the first english language one to be released from the Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos and will start filming in November.

The film is about a group of people who are told they need to find their respective partners or else they will be turned into animals. The film is set in a dystopian future, where the single men and women are taken to a dark hotel where they are given the task at hand. Zero Dark Thirty’s Jason Clarke and Lea Seydoux will also be joining the cast for the film as well.

Lanthimos won the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ Oscar for his 2009 movie Dogtooth, and has been working in the UK since 2011. He also directed the film Alps, which told the story about a group of people who were hired to impersonate others who had recently died.
