Rumours about Blake Shelton have been all over twitter recently, especially to do with him and his wife, Miranda Lambert. His response? Mocking the stories to his 4 million Twitter followers.
He addressed a number of rumours; a divorce, Lambert being pregnant, Shelton cheating-possibly with the actress he attended Usher’s birthday bash with, Lindsay Sporrer- and a feud with Cher, who is mentoring his team on The Voice.
He tweeted: “I just read back to back NEW stories that @mirandalambert and I are having a baby, divorcing, cheating and feuding with @cher. Must be true!”
In May, he spoke to People, where he stressed similar rumours after a year of marriage, saying: “[I tell Miranda] ‘I have nothing to hide from you’. That’s always been our policy – ‘Here’s my phone, go through it’,” he said. “That’s really the kind of trust we have. There are no secrets.”
However, he doesn’t mind being the subject of the rumour mill, hence his mockery of it rather than lashing out at the press and media. He told a CBS This Morning host earlier in the year, “If I’m popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff — that’s awesome.”
Despite what the rumours are saying, Shelton’s and Lambert’s marriage is not heading towards divorce. There are the ordinary martial ups and downs, but Shelton “just could not imagine her not being in my life.”
