Just a short while ago, the nominations for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced and, as always, there were some major surprises!
Aaron Paul from AMC’s Breaking Bad was the man of the hour as he was on hand to announce the list of nominees. Paul was meant to announce nominations with Kate Mara (from House of Cards) but Mara couldn’t make it due to issues with her flight so host, Neil Patrick Harris, stepped in last minute to save the day.
Kerry Washington got a nomination for ABC’s Scandal although the show itself failed to get a nomination for Best Drama Series. Jeff Daniels of The Newsroom scored his first nomination as hot-tempered host Will McAvoy, but in the end it was American Horror Story that led the pack with an impressive 17 nominations all together.
