A bus carrying 29 high school cheerleaders from Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY was hit head-on north of Atlanta by a suspected drunk driver. The cheerleaders, along with their two adult chaperones, were headed to Orlando, FL for a competition.
Fortunately, no one on the bus was hurt in the accident and the team continued on to their competition in other buses that were travelling with them.
The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Alissa Mills of Atlanta, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. She is now facing a number of charges including a DUI.
