Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have been together since this past spring and it seems things are already serious between them. According to new reports, the actress and the rocker are now engaged.

The two of them were set up by Nicole Richie, who is married to Benji’s brother, Joel Madden. After seven months of dating, it turns out Cameron Diaz and her new man have decided to make things a bit more formal and official pretty soon, with the engagement taking place. Reportedly, the Madden brother only went in to propose after asking for the blessing of Diaz’s mother. Insiders reveal:

“Everyone thinks it’s wild but are so happy for them. Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it’s for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there’s nothing better than that.”

Congratulations to the couple for their engagement! Hopefully, things will work out well for them and we will get to see Cameron Diaz walking down the isle with the former Good Charlotte bandmate soon.
