Captain America 3 will not arrive before spring of 2016, but since the film is already in the works, more details are revealed every now and then. The latest news regarding the movie sees Robert Downey Jr. possibly joining Chris Evans and the rest of the cast.

Even though the future of the Iron Man series is uncertain, the Marvel Universe will reportedly have Captain America and Tony Stark join their forces once again – except they won’t really “join forces”. According to sources, Robert Downey Jr. is in talks to star in the third installment of the superhero’s film series, with the negotiations being in the final stages.

Comic readers are aware that there’a an argument between the two heroes and the time has possibly come for it to be shown on the big screen. The fuss between the two comes from a superhero award, which requires identification to the government. Even though Iron Man is all in for it, Captain America is not very much fond of it. Furthermore, it is highly possible that the Civil Wars will begin with this upcoming release.

Robert Downey Jr. was first intended to have a small part, with the actor later asking for a bigger one and having the plans scrapped. However, it turns out the two parties worked things out, with the Iron Man star reportedly receiving a $40 million for the part, without backend profits and additional earnings if the film surpasses The Winter Soldier in the box office.

Captain America 3 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 6, 2016.
