Fans of Downton Abbey rejoice.  The producers of the hit ITV series Downton Abbey have released more pictures of the eagerly anticipated fourth season, which is due to air in the UK later in the year, and PBS early in 2014

The new pictures show Dame Maggie Smith and Penelope Wilton filming in an Oxfordshire graveyard, wearing what appear to mourning clothes.

This suggests that they are still in the early stages of filming Season 4, and we all know why they are in the graveyard, but in case people are STILL in the dark, I won’t say who the deceased is.

As well as the return of Wilton and Smith, we can fully expect the return of the majority of the residents of Downton, both above and below stairs with Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Shirley MacLaine and Jim Carter all due to return to the series.

We can also expect a few new cast members, including world renowned opera singer Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

Also actor Gary Carr who will play a  ”charming and charismatic” jazz singer named Jack Ross who may turn a few heads.

As a huge fan of the show, I am always excited when we get any news on new developments, and I can’t wait for the start of Season 4.
