Chelsea Shag becomes the talk of the town in her vibrant “New Perfume” visual…

Canadian born songstress Chelsea Shag is currently burning up the Atlanta music scene with her vivacious musicality. Blending elements of rock, jazz, soul, and pop, the rising act has developed a sound that is entirely her own. Coupled with a fearless and bold image, the songstress made her debut earlier this year with her album Colours and current single “New Perfume.”

“If you got a new love, you know whip out that new perfume. You know what I’m saying” the rising songstress cheekily declares in a spoken introduction over the wailing of electric guitars on the single. As the instrumentation picks up, Chelsea Shag breaks into song and proclaims the benefits of keeping a relationship exciting and surprising. Her vocals vibrate with life and are perfectly at home over the energized production complete with live instruments and twinkling synths. 

The single confirms that Shag is a force to be reckoned with on the musical sphere. Now Chelsea Shag is gearing up to breathe new life into the single with a colorful new music video, and things just got even better…

The updated visual emphasizes Shag’s vibrant aesthetic and bright pop sensibilities. As the video opens Shag is holding tenure at a “New Perfume” roadside stand, selling her wares in a bright bottles. Business is a little slow though, so the playful artist flips her “Open” sign to “Smell Ya Later” and goes out to recruit some clientele with her band.  

The songstress and her crew transform a yellow van into a rainbow bright stage and hit the road with the party bus. In no time at all they find themselves in the midst of a roadside party, and they’re providing the entertainment. Sparklers, lights, and a parachute set the scene for an evening of dancing. Talk about keeping things fresh and exciting!
