In typical ripped from the headlines fashion, Law & Order: SVU will take on the Chris Brown-Rihanna love saga in next week’s episode. Although Rihanna has apparently forgiven Chris for his assault on her back in 2009, it will not turn out that way for the characters on the upcoming episode.
“My Funny Valentine”, airing on Wednesdays, Feb. 27, does not specifically name the couple in the episode but some of the details of the plot appear to be quite identical to what went down between Rihanna and Chris Brown.
In the episode description given by the show’s website, the plot will consists of the following:
“A promising singer is brutally attacked by her boyfriend, a popular hip hop star. ADA Barba (guest star Raul Esparza) works to build a case, but the victim refuses to aid the prosecution and, despite Detective Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) best efforts, continues to put herself in danger. The case quickly spirals into a media circus, perpetrated by both the defendant and his uncompromising attorney (guest star Jeffrey Tambor) … Special appearances by Perez Hilton, Dave Navarro and Wendy Williams.”
Brown and Rihanna’s drama filled relationship has been tabloid fodder for years now and has caused major controversy for both parties as many still question why she forgave him and took him back. With some interesting big names joining the episode, it looks like this one you will not want to miss.
