Australian pop star Cody Simpson was the most recent contestant to be eliminated from Dancing With the Stars, but he appears to be taking it quite well. In an interview after the show, Simpson was asked how he felt about the whole process and he had this to say:

“I’m sad…mixed feelings. It’s kind of like, one amazing experience is over, Witney and I are kind of sad about it, but at the same time, I can just get back to what I do…start working on the new album and move on to the next phase of my career.”

He was also asked later on who he’d like to see win it now that he’s out of the running, and without hesitation, he put his backing behind Amy Purdy to take home the crown.

During his time on the show, he was also able to become good friends with his dancing partner Witney Carson. Both are hoping to remain friends and hang out whenever they can.
