It appears that Corey Feldman’s cry for help, in the form of a 10-million dollar “demand” to reveal the names of those whom allegedly molested both he and Corey Haim in the 1980’s is exposing some dark secrets of his own. He has been repeatedly chastised by the media, and even Haim’s mother, Judy, for exploiting her son’s name and death, and now we are told that Corey is in dire financial trouble, allegedly being sued by members of his band for non-payment. Judy Haim has gone on to say “He’s been talking about revealing the names of his and other abusers for seven years, since my son died. Now he wants $10 million to do it? Come on. It’s a long con. He’s a scam artist. If he was serious about this, he’d share the information he has with the police.” Judy strongly believes the ill-timing of the IndieGoGo campaign almost immediately after Feldman’s Louisiana drug bust, which Feldman described as a “shakedown,” and the breakup of his band a week ago, should be clear clues as to his motivation. “I don’t understand how the press that’s now giving him all of this attention isn’t getting it,” she said. “It’s all a distraction.”

Feldman and his wife Courtney allege that his band “quit with no explanation other than saying they were afraid to continue,” but PopWrapped has learned that it was not for safety issues at all, but allegedly for non-payment. I interviewed several former members of Corey’s band, who tell me “It’s all a ploy. Corey isn’t trying to create social justice. Corey is lining his pockets. He doesn’t care about exposing anyone.” Another former band mate explained further, “Corey is a mess. He’s constantly conning people into doing free, pro-Bono work for him. Everything from his web development to his social media team and most of his crew is done pro-Bono, with a promise of money, when he has it. Many of the people he takes advantage of are middle-aged women, still obsessed with him, from during his heyday. He’s demanding and messy, constantly on drugs, mostly pot and prescriptions for imaginary pain. He wants everything done NOW. He’s not the icon he was in the 80’s and working for him ruined my respect for him and even his past work. The final straw for a lot of us was waiting weeks and weeks for past-due money, while he and Courtney enjoyed an extended vacation on the beaches of Hawaii drinking and getting high. He’s reminded us many times that we signed an NDA, and if we go to the press, he will sue us. He owes us girls thousands of dollars. It was a hard lesson, but he’s left us no choice but to take him to court for the money. We just can’t take him seriously anymore.”

Feldman’s current IndieGogo campaign has currently raised over $178,000, with two months to go, and has been set up as a “Flexible Goal,” meaning, no matter what, at the end of the campaign, Feldman receives all the money donated, whether he meets his goal or not. To further show how out-of-touch Feldman and his team are, his campaign claims that “In order to make a true Hollywood Blockbuster these days the studios are spending upwards of $150,000,000 on average. We are asking for less that (SIC) a tenth of that to make a top level quality film that will be guaranteed as a theatrical release.”

To put that into perspective, X-Men cost 75-million dollars to make. Training Day cost 45-million dollars to make. Even the Harry Potter films cost roughly 130-million dollars. I reached out to a high-ranking PBS executive to ask what he thought making a high-quality documentary should cost. He told me “It all depends on what you’re trying to accomplish, but in my experience, it wouldn’t cost anything more than $4,000 per-minute, and that’s on the way high side. That would include a ton of locations, expensive third-party footage, state-of-the-art gear and top-notch editing. Unless Corey is planning to make a film that is upwards of 30-hours long, and then plans to rent the biggest Hollywood theatre for its release, his asking price is utterly ridiculous.”

After his arrest in Louisiana for drug possession and driving with a suspended license, Feldman has canceled a slew of gigs in more than a dozen cities, offering fans assorted and wildly varying excuses for the cancellations.

In regards to the October 24 show in Hazard, KY, Feldman tweeted:

GOOD AFTERNOON. I HAV SAD NEWS 2DAY. THE SHOW IN HAZARD KENTUCKY 4 THIS EVE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE 2 LACK OF ADVERTISING PER THE PROMOTER.
APPARENTLY THEY 4GOT 2 ADVERTISE THE SHOW & THERE4 HAD 2 WITHDRAW THE PERFORMANCE. I WOULD LIKE 2 APOLOGIZE 2 ANY1 WHO PURCHASED TIX 2 THIS.
OBVIOUSLY IT WAS BEYOND OUR CONTROL. THAT SAID WE PLAN ON SEEING U ALL ON WED IN MEMPHIS.

Feldman’s next scheduled performance, on October 25 in Memphis, TN, was also canceled, with Corey tweeting:

Following that cancellation, Feldman updated that all of his shows up to Halloween were canceled. Corey again tweeted:

MY SINCEREST & DEEPEST APOLOGIES, BUT WITHOUT A BAND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT 2 FIND A WAY 2 PERFORM! ALL SHOWS R NOW CANCELLED TIL HALOWEEN.
I COULD NEVER HAV PREDICTED THAT SOMETHING I WORKED SO HARD 4 WOULD B DAMAGED SO DEEPLY IT WOULD FORCE ME 2 CANCEL SEVERAL PERFORMANCES!
HOWEVER MY TEAM IS WORKING ON A FIX SO THAT WE CAN HOPEFULLY SALVAGE THE HALLOWEEN EVENT & BEYOND! WE WILL KEEP U POSTED! #ISTANDWITHCOREY

Feldman recently tweeted that his Halloween performance would be canceled as well, stating that he didn’t feel it was currently “safe” to perform. He tweeted the cryptic:

I HOPE WE CAN RESCHEDULE PERFORMANCES AT A TIME N THE NEAR FUTURE WHEN LIFE IS A BIT LESS TUMULTUOUS! I LOVE MY FANS & THANK U 4 UR SUPPORT!

Over the weekend, he continued tweeting, wishing fans “A FUN HALLOWEEKEND,” but said “I DID NOT GET 2 ENJOY IT THIS YR AS IM HIDING OUT IN A HOTEL. #PRESERVEINNOCENCE”

I pressed one of Feldman’s former Angels why she thought Feldman spent so much time talking about about sexual abuse, but not really saying anything. Her response: “Isn’t it obvious? No one is talking about his career anymore. He’s not making movies, and let’s face it, the only time anyone is mentioning the band is when it’s to say something negative. The only time Corey can hold the attention of any room, is when he’s threatening to release the names of people that supposedly molested him 30 years ago. Even his own wife questions whether or not it’s true anymore. He’s cried wolf so many times to sell books, and get interviews, and now this crazy, overblown crowdfunding… He just isn’t credible. He needs to shit or get off the pot. Asking for ten-million dollars is ludicrous. He isn’t a child anymore. You don’t get candy and gold stars for doing the right thing when you’re in your 40’s.”
