Cthulhu Angrily Denies Stephen King’s Trump Claim

Author Stephen King believes that Donald Trump is merely Cthulhu in disguise, sparking a strong statement from the creature.

Best-selling horror writer Stephen King has made the claim that Donald Trump is Cthulhu, a fictional cosmic entity written about by dark fantasy author H.P. Lovecraft.

Of course, it is understandable why Stephen King would think of this. Cthulhu is one of the Great Old Ones, who have been described as powerful deities from space, worshiped by deranged and inhuman cults.

When it comes to physical appearance, Lovecraft described a statue of Cthulhu as “a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind.” His head is depicted to be quite similar to that of an entire octopus. The description is a “little bit different” from Trump, but Stephen King tweeted out that “the absurd hairdo…hides the tentacles”.

And it seems that Cthulhu is not too pleased with the comparison.

A parody Twitter account for the fictional deity’s own bid for the American Presidency named “Cthulhu For America” has angrily refuted the claim and has tweeted out a statement. “Trump could barely hope to be 1/63 as great as I am if he weren’t such a buffoon,” the account replied to Stephen King.

The account also tweeted out that, “Trump is a lesser evil for lesser men, there is no comparison to the Dread Lord Cthulhu.”

One supporter even tweeted out this handy poster to differentiate Lovecraft’s Great Old One from the “other” presidential candidates.

For his part, Stephen shot back a tweet that said “Reliable sources on Cthulu’s denail [sic] he is Trump: ‘Well, it’s what he WOULD say, isn’t it?’”

Despite being quite active on social media, particularly Twitter, Donald Trump has so far not issued a denial to this issue. None of his official representatives have denied the claim.
