‘Divergent’ Adds Muscle and Makes Its Cast ‘Die Hard’

The cast for the movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s YA novel, Divergent, gets bigger. Jai Courtney, known for recently playing Bruce Willis’ son in A Good Day to Die Hard, has been added to the ever growing cast. Courtney will join Shailene Woodley, Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz, and Ansel Elgort as part of the ensemble.

Neil Burger (Limitless) is set to helm the project. The movie is set in a future society that is divided into factions based on human traits. Courtney will play one of Woodley’s character’s antagonists, Eric, the face-pierced leader of the Dauntless faction.

Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher of Red Wagon Entertainment are producing the film along with Pouya Shahbazian and Rachel Shane of Red Wagon is serving as executive producer.

Divergent has been set for release March 21, 2014 per Summit. Jai Courtney can next been seen I, Frankenstein, which opens in September.
