Eva Universe has truly taken the universe by storm. After being sought out by the likes of Snoop Dogg and Lupe Fiasco, her songs have been taking over the club scene.

Her recent song ‘Trapped’ is different from any other club songs though, it shares a powerful message that she’s not afraid to share with her fans or anyone else.

“Trapped is a very important song to me. It highlights my own pain and struggles. I think its a very versatile song that can relate to everybody in some way because everyone is going through something difficult in their lives. So I hope people listen and hear the message which is you’re not alone and as long as you stay strong and keep pushing through the hard times, things will get better and freedom is the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Eva also tells us that this isn’t the last time that we’ll be seeing these messages in her songs.

“Listeners will be hearing a lot of my song Trapped and my personal struggles behind it because I’m very open. This is for the purpose of wanting to spread awareness about the topic of eating disorders, body issues, and depression. I hope it inspires others to be more open and honest about this as well.”

Eva has collaborated with various artists including Gucci Mane and Tyga and she has loved every second of it.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some big names. Its been such a cool experience working with other artists. Music and music trends are constantly changing so I think its important to expand your style by working with others and learning new things. I’m mostly a pop artist, that is my favorite genre of music for myself, it always has been. But I do some more urban or dance styles when I get the chance.”

Along with working with big celebrities, she sometimes get mistaken for them. Check out our exclusive video below.

She’s also recently finished participating in a 24-hour charity concert in hopes to raise awareness about violence against women. The concert took place last Saturday and was streamed through Google Hangout. Artists were able to play a 30-minute set and then had a Q&A portion.

“Violence against women is something that has been talked about a lot lately in the media and it must be stopped. I’m grateful to be a part of the concert and I hope many people will donate so its a huge success!”

She also just finished touring on Nick Cannon’s Celebrity High Magazine Tour and she doesn’t plan to stop there.

“Its been really fun getting to travel around Southern California to all these different schools. I still keep in touch with students on Instagram and Twitter. It was a definite change of pace from my usual nightclub shows! But I really enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks to Nick Cannon and his team for having me!

I’ve been busy rehearsing and recording new stuff. We will be putting out an EP in the near future, probably towards the end of summer. We are also scheduling a bunch of performances coming up, so as soon as we have the dates I will post them on my website!”
