Having first formed in 2009 as sixth graders, The Hollow Party — made up of Drew Bostwick on drums, Danny Vinton on bass, Quinn Hopkins on rhythm guitar and Andrew Vendelis on lead guitar — have been compared to the likes of Fall Out Boy and The 1975.
More than six years on from their coming together, they’ve firmly established themselves as local celebrities in their home state of Maryland, most notably in Baltimore, and have played some of the most iconic venues in the region, including The 8×10 Club and The Ottobar. They also beat thousands of regional artists to play the Vans Warped Tour date in Columbia, Maryland.
Inspired by the likes of Foo Fighters and The Killers, the band have also thoroughly enjoyed themselves and delighted thousands of fans while opened for some pretty impressive bands during their time together, including Fuel and A Skylit Drive.
Now, as seniors in high school, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere the video for the quartets’ latest track “Basic Girl.”
The story behind the song is that girls should not have to push themselves to be anything that they aren’t to impress guys – well said boys!
