The new trailer for Expendables III claims the film will be “one last ride” for Sylvester Stallone’s Barney Ross and his crew of grizzled ass-kickers. If the movie indeed will be the last we’ll see of the franchise, Stallone will be adding even more star power to the ensemble action hero cast for the explosive farewell.
Hollywood A-listers Mel Gibson and Harrison Ford will be on board for the movie, with Gibson taking on the role of villain Conrad Stonebanks. Other new team members on the over-50 end include Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammer, and Wesley Snipes. Twilight star Kellan Lutz, MMA fighter Ronda Rousey, The Dark Knight Rises actor Glenn Powell, and boxing champ Victor Ortiz (in his movie debut) will be bringing the young blood to the mix.
Of course all the old favorites of the past films will be back in the fray as well including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Terry Crews.
So is it time for Stallone and company to hang up their rocket launchers? If number three is the end of the line for the Expendables, will it bring a tear to your cold, steely eye? Let us know in the comments!
