Luckily, my iCloud hasn’t backed up in 39 weeks. Which my phone continues to remind me on a daily basis; otherwise all my nude photos could be making their rounds on the internet right now. Or not…
Either way, this is not the case for dozens of Hollywood leading ladies.
Unless you are living under a rock, you are well aware of the latest celebrity scandal involving hundreds of risque photos that were leaked online showing a string of female celebrities in compromising activities and attire…or lack thereof.
From Victoria Justice and Kirsten Dunst, to the B—- in Apartment 23; the list of women who were targets of this hack is extensive.
While Ariana’s camp continues to deny the authenticity, there are a slew of other celebs confirming that the photos are indeed real.
According to CNN, Kate Upton’s lawyer confirmed photos of the model-actress were among those leaked, calling it ‘an outrageous violation’ of her privacy. While Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence’s rep said “authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
The photos were stolen in a hack of the starlets’ iCloud accounts and sources are now confirming that both Apple and the FBI are investigating the incident.
What’s bigger than the boobs plastered all over the interwebs is the absolute violation of privacy of these women. The argument that “it serves them right” doesn’t even apply here
because
if their privacy is so easily violated, you and I are no safer.
