The final minutes of Fear The Walking Dead’s second season left fans with a lot of questions about what would happen on season 3.
Travis, Madison, and Alycia were on hot pursuit of Nick, but just when they reached the Colonia where they believed he was staying, they discovered that he had left. Nick was leading the gang of Colonia survivors north, but when the border came into view they were attacked by armed men. Luciana was shot and everyone was captured. Who were these men? Are they good guys giving off a bad guy appearance? Are the characters in trouble? Will Nick ever be reunited with his family? And what about Strand and Ofelia, who are off on their own journeys now? Fear not, for AMC has quenched our thirst for answers by releasing an official synopsis for season 3 along with promotional images.
“As Fear the Walking Dead returns for season three, our families will be brought together in the vibrant and violent ecotone of the U.S.-Mexico border. International lines done away with following the world’s end, our characters must attempt to rebuild not only society, but family as well. Madison (Kim Dickens) has reconnected with Travis (Cliff Curtis), her apocalyptic partner, but Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) has been fractured by her murder of Andres. Madison’s son mere miles from his mother, Nick’s (Frank Dillane) first action as a leader saw Luciana (Danay Garcia) ambushed by an American militia group — the couple escaped death, but Nick no longer feels immortal. Recovering both emotionally and physically, Strand (Colman Domingo) has his sights set on harnessing the new world’s currency, and Ofelia’s (Mercedes Mason) captivity will test her ability to survive and see if she can muster the savagery of her father.”
The synopsis and promo images, which you can find in the gallery below, leave a lot to the imagination. Heading into season 3, the characters appear to be facing a very bleak path. The obstacles they encountered in season 2 only seem to have been the beginning of their problems, and they are truly beginning to get a taste of what it means to survive in this post-apocalyptic world.
Fear The Walking Dead season 3 will return in Summer 2017.
