New trailer for the latest telling of the legendary Frankenstein tale, “Victor Frankenstein,” finally released and we think Mary Shelley would be proud!

Four months before it hits theaters, an official trailer for the re-telling of the classic Frankenstein story, titled Victor Frankenstein has been by released 20th Century Fox.

The film stars two of Britain’s best loved and most successful actors in recent years, James McAcvoy, best known for playing the young Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films and Daniel Radcliffe, who of course, shot to global fame as boy wizard Harry Potter.

The film is directed by Sherlock‘s Paul McGuigan while, on screen, McAvoy is the mad scientist and Radcliffe plays his assistant Igor. Also starring in the film are Downton Abbey‘s Jessica Brown Findlay, Sherlock‘s Moriarty AKA Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox.

The official synopsis for the film reads:

James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a dynamic and thrilling twist on a legendary tale. Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his equally brilliant protégé Igor Strausman (Radcliffe) share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.

Victor Frankenstein will be released in theaters on November 25.
