In an unprecedented turn of events, FOX is changing the schedule it unveiled in front of advertisers on the TV Upfronts just a few days ago.
Apparently FOX’s new show Pitch tested so well with advertisers and audiences, that the network has decided to let the buzzy new series out of the dugout earlier than planned. The baseball show was supposed to debut midseason on Tuesdays, but it has now been scheduled to air on Thursdays at 9pm this fall.
That move, of course, has a ripple effect on the schedule, as it will now relocate Bones‘ shortened and last season to an unknown timeslot at the start of 2017.
Also, the revival of Prison Break, which was scheduled to air in midseason once Bones ended, has now been moved to Pitch‘s former midseason slot. Now, the Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller show will air on Tuesdays at 9pm, starting on the spring of 2017.
Pitch is the story of a young female pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues. Check out the trailer here:
