Game Of Thrones Audition Clips Screened At Comic-Con

HBO just gave the Game of Thrones fandom a beautiful gift: a clip reel of audition videos of some of our favorite characters!

*SPOILERS LIE AHEAD!*

During the HBO Game Of Thrones panel in Hall H at Comic-Con yesterday, fans were treated to some never-before-seen audition clips starring, among others, Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth). Rose Leslie (Ygritte), meanwhile, is seen for the very first time delivering one of the most popular lines in the series as she declares:

“You know nothing, Jon Snow.”

The clip has, to date, received more than a million views .

Most of the discussion during the panel centred on the shocking finale in which Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) closed out the episode lying in the snow bleeding having been stabbed by fellow members of The Night’s Watch.

However, that was not the central talking point. That instead related to the controversial scenes involving Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner). In the defenSe of her character, notably regarding her marriage to Ramsay Bolton and his actions later on, Turner said:

She didn’t fight. She could have, but she chose not to. She is one of those characters who does her scheming in her mind rather than openly.

Prior to the panel, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, finale director David Nutter admitted to telling US president Barack Obama that Jon Snow was, as many have debated in recent weeks,

“Deader than dead.”
