Hilary Duff Gets It Right On New Single, ‘Sparks’

After a couple of folk-ish buzz singles, Hilary Duff makes her grand return to pop with a brand-new track, titled “Sparks”.

It’s been a while since Hilary Duff started working on her comeback album and things seem to finally be falling in the right place. After a couple of buzz singles, the former Disney star has now made her great return to dance-pop with a brand-new single, “Stars”.

From the very first notes of “Sparks”, you can tell Hilary Duff got it all right this time around. Co-penned by Tove Lo and co-produced by Bloodshy, the track is an incredibly catchy pop tune. Serving as an ode to her man and her return to the dancefloor at the same time, its insanely radio-friendly whistles make it instantly likeable and addictive. It’s a gem indeed and should perfectly satisfy her fans, who have been craving for a sound close to the one of her previous record, 2007′s Dignity. It seems all that time she spent in Sweden did pay off after all, didn’t it?

“Sparks” serves as the third offering to be lifted from the star’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled studio album, following the folk-ish “Chasing The Sun” and “All About You”. However, it could very well be turned into the lead single, as both prior releases didn’t make any significant impact. Hilary Duff first teased the song in a sneak peek of her brand-new TV show, Younger. Give it a listen below.
