Ian Somerhalder Can’t Hide From Vampires; Joins Netflix Series

Netflix has ordered a new series based on the “V-Wars book” series and they have cast Ian Somerhalder to play their lead, Dr. Luther Swann.

Vampire shows and movies are still making a mark in pop culture and Netflix seems to be hoping on board. Netflix has ordered a new series based on the V-Wars book series written by Jonathan Maberry and they have cast Ian Somerhalder to play their lead, Dr. Luther Swann.

Previously, Somerhalder has made apperiences in many CW shows, but had a leading role in their hit vampire series, as well, The Vampire Diaries. Ian played a bad boy vampire that was fighting for the love for one girl along side of his brother, played by Paul Wesley. His humor and wit won the hearts of many viewers.

In this new series, “V-Wars” he will be playing the opposite of the character he portrayed in The Vampire Diaries. His character, Dr. Luther Swann, is brought into the world of vampires when his best friend, Michael Fayne, contracts a mysterious desease and turns into a blood sucking cannibal. The more Swann digs, the wider this desease spreads, which leaves the world divided, as each side is after the other. All in this time, Fayne has become the leader of the vampire world. We are guessing it is up to Dr. Swann to figure out a cure or solution to this disease.

As of right now, the only cast member confirmed is Somerhalder. And also as of right now, we aren’t really concerned with who else is cast, we are just happy to see that face return! Although, we do not know much yet, this series seems like it will be good enough to sink our teeth into.
