Some of you might remember that Ice Cube got himself into some hot water with his comments he made about Paul Walker at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards.  However, it seems like Ice Cube wants clarify his comments, saying he has nothing but admiration for Paul Walker.  He feels, “They should have gave it to him before he passed away.”

Right after the awards show Ice Cube told USA Today that he and Kevin Heart were “robbed” by not getting the Best Onscreen Duo award.  He even went on to say this, “We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy.  We were the best onscreen duo, period.”

Obviously, there were a lot of people who disagreed with Ice Cube’s statements because Paul Walker and Vin Diesel won for their roles in Fast and Furious 6. Ice Cube also went as far as to say the voters gave Walker and Diesel “sympathy” votes.

After USA Today published the article, Ice Cube did what most celebrities do when they need to get something off of their chest, took to twitter, “Re: The MTV Awards.  I wasn’t really mad we didn’t win. So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker.  Seriously people!”

And, if that wasn’t enough he went on to tweet even more, “Re: Leaving early from the MTV Awards.  They told me our category wasn’t gonna be televised. So I left.  Just promoting that RIDE ALONG DVD. Re: The sympathy vote: We should honor people before they die.  That’s all. Shame on you ‘make something out of nothing’ ass reporters.  Smh. Re: MTV Awards.  Ice Cube is not a sore loser.  I was born losing.  This winning s–t is what I gotta get use to. Last tweet and I’mma leave it alone.  Remember this: A lie travels further then the truth.  Damn the devil is busy.  And Paul Walker fans don’t trip. I was a fan too.”

Oye; celebrities and their need to speak before thinking!  What do you think about Ice Cube’s comments?  Do you think he really meant what he said in the first place and is only backtracking now because of the bad press?  Or were his comments just blown out of proportion? Let us know in the comments!  Most importantly, who do you think should have won, Diesel/Walker or Cube/Heart?
