This past Monday, IGN streamed not one but two English game-play videos of Shonen Jump’s J-Stars Victory game, which is released by Bandai Namco Games. The videos show us the newly added Arcade Mode (which was specifically created for the US release) as well as the characters and character moves.
We preview characters such as Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho), Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach), Allen Walker (D-Gray Man), Goku (Dragon Ball Z), Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto), Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece), Kenshiro (Fist of the North Star) and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo).
The video game, which will be available for the PS3, PS4 and Playstation Vita, will contain the original Japanese audio with English subtitles. Much to the excitement of anime fans (such as myself) the game will include over 50 characters from 32 Shonen Jump titles.
The game will feature 2 vs 2 team battles, J Adventure Mode, Victory Road Campaign, online mode for 2 vs 2 battles, free battle and a gallery that will feature the games illustrations as well as character voice samples. It also contains a hand full of “support” characters that can be called in when you need help on the battlefield.
