Following the announcement that Roland Emmerich’s upcoming sequel “Independence Day 2” had landed actor Jessie Usher as the lead, we now have some more confirmations.
Emmerich confirmed the news himself over his Twitter, telling his followers that Liam Hemsworth would also be joining up for the sci-fi sequel……
But he’s not alone.
Original cast member Jeff Goldblum is set to reprise his role of David Levinson!!
IGNThe film is set to hit theaters June 24th, 2016.
There were conflicting rumors for quite some time that Will Smith would possibly be returning, but those rumors were quickly dispelled. Jessie Usher is set to play the grown up son of Will Smith’s character Stephen Hillier, so maybe a cameo from the “Fresh Prince”?
Let’s hope.
No word yet on who Hemsworth will be portraying.
