Into The Woods is a well-known musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, which is up to receive its own screen adaptation. With the movie on the way for next month, a new trailer was unleashed and there’s finally some singing in it.
The newly released trailer for Into The Woods really has some musical quality to it, with singing from both the whole cast and Meryl Streep on her own – she’s the witch singing “Stay With Me”. Apart from the notes, we get introduced to the main story of the witch sending a couple to put an end to a curse. All they have to do is bring in some fairytale-inspired things, with Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Red Riding Hood making an appearance.
Alongside Streep, Into The Woods stars James Cordon, Emily Blunt, Daniel Huttlestone, Lilla Crawford, MacKenzie Mauzy and Anna Kendrick. Actors who also make an appearance include Johnny Depp, Chris Pine, Lucy Punch, Tammy Blanchard and Christine Baranski.
Into The Woods is set to open in theaters on December 25. Take a look at the trailer below.
