The iPhone 6 has turned out to be a massive success for Apple, who saw people welcoming the new model in the series warmly. Ever since its release, though, a lot of owners of previous iPhone devices are claiming they’re having speed issues. Since it’s not the first time this is happening, a lot of buzz was created around the matter, with even Harvard looking into the case.

A lot of users have noticed their older iPhone getting slower with the launch of the new one. According to a Harvard study, Apple users have been looking for “iPhone slow” online every single time a new model is launched, ever since the 3G model came out. This raises questions regarding whether the company is slowing down its older models on purpose or not, in favor of the new ones.

Even though Apple did not comment on the matter, repair expert Sam Marcos doesn’t thinks the slowing down is intentional. Instead, he believes it’s the updated hardware that causes it all. According to him, all you have to do is ignore the iOS update you’ll get with the release of a new phone.

Do you think Apple is actually slowing down older iPhones? Leave a comment below and let us know.
