James Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly Brook has become parents for the third time over the weekend, after Brook gave birth to a baby girl.
Van Der Beek broke the news on his Twitter account on Sunday, tweeting, “Outnumbered by kids, outnumbered by girls, outlandishly grateful and thrilled…Watch out world, VDB baby #3 made her debut last night :).”
A source close to the couple told People magazine that the pair “welcomed their third child, a daughter, following a natural birth at home Saturday evening, Jan. 25.” People added that the, “Baby girl weighed 7lbs., 8 oz. Further details, including the newborn’s name, have yet to be released.”
Kimberly announced her pregnancy on her blog in August after keeping it a secret for nearly five months. “James and I are happy to report that we are expecting our third child this winter!” She added, “My energy is slowly creeping back in. There was actually a day this week where I decided to wake up and embrace and early morning before my kids did, instead of dragging my feet into the kitchen to fetch bananas and water while one on each hip.”
She then said, “All of the craziness, exhaustion and moodiness aside, James and I are beyond elated and feeling so incredibly blessed. Olivia and Joshua are in on the news and seem to be excited about a baby coming into the family. And James, thank you for being the loving, caring and understanding husband and father that you are (sic).”
James and Kimberly married in 2010, after he divorced his former wife Heather McComb. The pair already has a son Joshua, 22 months and a daughter Olivia, 3 years, and have yet to reveal to name of the latest addition.
