He just released Man of the Woods back in February, but that didn't stop Justin Timberlake from dropping a surprise summer hit with 'Soulmate'. On July 4th, Timberlake gave us the summer song we’ve been waiting for.

We loved some of Man of the Woods, but overall the highly anticipated album only gave us a few good songs. The biggest hit to come from his most recent album was 'Say Something' which featured Chris Stapleton. ‘Soulmate’ is a treat for Timberlake fans because it is exactly what we want, a bop. It offers a great beat to dance along with filled with the beach vibe that will last you past the summer. We all wish it didn’t end so quickly. His lyrics don’t try to send a message beyond what they say, which is refreshing after political tracks like ‘Supplies’.
On Twitter, Timberlake announced that ‘Soulmate’ started production on June 26th and was ready for release by July 3rd. When it’s right, we guess you just know it. Timberlake worked with producer Nineteen85 for this track, who he previously worked with on The 20/20 Experience, which we all know parts one and two have been some of JT’s best work. Check out some fans reactions to the summer bop. They seem to love it just as much as we do!
