After years of not naming names and alleged passive agressive moves between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. One of them, Katy, has decided to come out and speak about the unconfirmed but still infamous feud between them.

In an appearance on Monday night’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, Perry performed her latest single “Swish swish” with the Late Late show host. There has been speculation among fans and the media that the song may be a diss track against Swift, and that it is a response to her 2015 hit single “Bad Blood” which is rumored to have been aimed against Perry.

With this in mind Corden decided to ask Katy straight away, if there really is a feud?

And after all this years, we finally get a confirmation! “There’s a situation,” Perry replied “Honestly, it’s really like she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it.”

But she wisely chose not to say whether “Swish swish” really is about Swift. She instead decided to discuss the incident which led to the beef between the two of them. “It’s about backing dancers, it’s so crazy,” Perry said.

This ties with Taylor Swift’s  2014 interview with Rolling Stone, wherein she explained the story behind “Bad Blood.”

“She did something so horrible,” Swift had said without naming names. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.” she explained.

For her part Katy Perry told Corden that as it turns out, three of her back-up dancers went on tour with Swift and asked her if she was allright with it. She answered with “I was like, ‘yeah, of course. I’m not on a record cycle. Get the work, she’s great and all that, but I will be on a record cycle probably in about a year.’”

She then asked the dancers to put a 30-day contingency in their contracts so that in case in case she needs them, they could rejoin her tour. And so when the time came, she texted the dancers and they said they would talk to Swift’s management. “And they did, and they got fired,” Perry explained . That’s when she tried to reach out to Swift. “and she wouldn’t speak to me… there was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me. And I’m like, ‘cool, cool, cool. That’s how you wanna deal with it? Karma!” Perry explained.

But she did point out that she is ready to bury the hatchet, and she told Corden that a simple text could end the feud.

I wonder if Taylor was watching and is willing to reach out to Katy Perry?
