Bill and Ted were one of the most iconic duos of "best buds" that came out of the 80's and early 90's cinema. For nearly three decades, we have missed the strange time travelling adventures this two get up to. We don't have to miss them any longer, because Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves have confirmed that they are set to reprise their roles of Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted "Theodore" Logan for a third outing of Bill and Ted. Cue the air guitar!
The project is currently in pre-production and bears the title of Bill and Ted: Face The Music. The script was written by the duo behind the original films, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, while Dean Parisot is set to direct.
Of course, with the passage of time, the storyline is set to reflect the changes (or lack thereof) that the characters have faced in the intervening decades. In 2017, when asked about the possibility of a third Bill and Ted during an appearance at the Graham Norton Show, he said that a script was already written and when it came to the plot “Basically, they’re (Bill and Ted) supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven’t done that. The pressure of having to save the world, their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them, and then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don’t write the song it’s just not the world, it’s the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart,” he explains.
Sounds excellent! I for one, can't wait to see this!
