The new trailer for Man of Tai Chi is out and features Keanu Reeves as we hadn’t seen him since his The Matrix days.
In the movie, which hits theaters Nov. 1, Reeves hires a young martial artist, played by stuntman Tiger Chen, to take part in an underground fight club competition to keep his way of life and ideals safe. Not only does Reeves star in this film, but he also makes his directorial debut. Michael G Cooney penned the film’s script.
Martial arts films appear to currently be Reeves’ film genre of choice as he is also starring in 47 Ronin, which will hit cinemas in America and Europe on December 25 and 26, respectively.
Man of Tai Chi will premiere later this month at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX and will be available on VOD from September 27. It will open in US cinemas on November 1 though an opening date for Europe has yet to be announced. In the meantime, watch Keanu and Chen in action below.
