The Killers Drop Festive Single, “Joel, The Lump Of Coal”

The Killers have once again delivered their casual Christmas tune, “Joel, The Lump Of Coal”, in collaboration with Jimmy Kimmel.

It’s kind of the norm for The Killers to release a Christmas single every year, as it has been this way. This holiday is no exception of course, with the band teaming up with Jimmy Kimmel to drop their new festive tune, “Joel, The Lump Of Coal”.

The track serves as a combination between the group and the late night television host. Jimmy Kimmel made sure he was present during The Killers’ studio session for the song, bringing in not only Christmas sweatshirts, but also a whole lot of hilariously awful ideas. Even though “Joel, The Lump Of Coal” totally goes for humor, it ends up serving a great lesson to everyone.

The Killers have been dropping Christmas tunes for every holiday season since 2006. So far, they have released nine festive tracks, with “Boots” and “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” included. Just like Jimmy Kimmel this year, Brandon Flowers and the rest of the gang have previously joined their forces with the likes of Elton John, Dawes and Neil Tennant among others, to create their holiday classics.

The track is available for purchase on iTunes and serves as a charity single. All earnings from the song will go to the RED campaign, a well-known charity against AIDS. Take a listen to “Joel, The Lump Of Coal” below.
