Sources over at Billboard Magazine have released some awesome news! Oklahoma born rock band, Kings of Leon is releasing the follow-up album to 2010’s Come Around Sundown.

The boys are set to release their new album, Mechanical Bull on September 24. The first single from the album is called “Super Soaker,” and should be unleashed sometime in early to mid-July.

Speaking of super soakers, Kings of Leon were supposed to perform June 8th at the Governor’s Ball. That ended up being cancelled because of a storm! The boys went on to play at the Governor’s Ball June 9th, marking their first show since the announcement of the new album.

So, between Come Around Sundown and Mechanical Bull, The Kings of Leon went M.I.A. Wonder where they went? While on their long hiatus, all four of the boys got married. Caleb, Nathan, and Matthew all welcomed their first children! No wonder we haven’t heard from them in three years. they’ve all had quite a bit on their hands!
But now they’re back! Coinciding with the release of the new album, the boys are set to hit the road on a tour this summer. So we can look forward to seeing them then!
