Little monsters, line up! Lady Gaga has debuted an exclusive ten-piece capsule collection at Urban Outfitters. To commemorate her Joanne world tour, Gaga•UO•Joanne is a wearable love letter to Ms. Germanotta, everything from sweatshirts to tote bags and bomber jackets, many featuring images of Gaga herself. Here are two of my faves:
The line ranges in price from as low as $16.00 to just under $300.00. In addition to the apparel, a fluorescent pink vinyl—and limited edition—Joanne album is for sale, only available at Urban Outfitters.
Gaga•UO•Joanne isn’t the first music-related fashion collaboration connected to Gaga’s fall 2016 record release. Early in 2017, she launched a small capsule collection on her website (13 items total) also inspired by Joanne.
Joanne caps off a more muted, more back-to-basics side to the public Gaga—less meat dress, more Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Around the time of the album’s release last fall, she spoke to The New York Times about her inner drive to keep stretching and striving as an artist, musician, and performer: “It’s an endless proving of myself, that I really am a musician, that I have something to offer in the room. That women can be musicians, women can be rock stars, women can be more than an objectified idea of a pop star.”
Next up for Gaga is her first starring role in a major motion picture, the remake of A Star Is Born, which will also mark Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut. The two filmed scenes for the movie at April’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The Joanne world tour begins August 1 in Vancouver and will take Gaga through Canada, the U.S., Brazil, and Europe. Gaga•UO•Joanne is available now online and in Urban Outfitters stores.
