Like a bird that has risen from the ashes, Lady Gaga can be seen on the cover artwork for her androgynous new single “G.U.Y.” looking like a bird…that has risen from ashes.
Never too far from blatantly metaphorical, the songstress produced an 11-minute foray into her tumultuous experiences in the record industry For most pop-culture- and/or Dateline-savvy Earthlings, Saturday evening (March 22) was the hearld return of the creative mastermind behind epic videos such as “Bad Romance” and “Telephone.”
The still was taken from the “epilogue” of Gaga’s monolithic video for the single, the third from ARTPOP. Perhaps this was her way of apologizing for the fumble that was the “Do What You Want” video (or lack thereof). Gaga can be seen in the aforementioned winged outfit downtrodden and (literally) stabbed in the back as the title-track plays in the background.
