As expected, following its live debut during Coachella, Lana Del Rey has officially unveiled “West Coast”, the first single to be taken from her highly anticipated third full-length studio album Ultraviolence.
The song was performed in an acapella version at The Chelsea in Las Vegas on Friday and in full at California’s Coachella festival yesterday.
Hours after performing “West Coast” at Coachella, Lana released the CDQ version of the song via her YouTube channel. She also released a black and white visual of her frolicking on the beach with a handsome beau. The video is not an official visual for the new single, but something cool to look at.
Lana had previously mentioned an album release date of May 1 in conversation with fans, but so far there has been no official announcement of the release date or tracklisting. She is set to play a slew of US tour dates in May and June, and has also confirmed that she will perform at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
