Lifetime announced that a Brittany Murphy biopic will air on the cable network, about the iconic actress who passed away at the young age of 32. The Lifetime movie will mainly focus on the actress’s early career during the 80’s and 90’s, however it will also delve into Murphy’s unfortunate and extremely devastating passing.

Actress Amanda Fuller (Last Man Standing, Grey’s Anatomy) will portray the beloved Hollywood icon, with Sherilyn Fenn playing Murphy’s mother Sharon Murphy, who publicly shared doubts regarding the circumstances of her daughter’s death, even claiming her death was no accident.

Sharon Murphy confirmed that she was not approached to consult for the film. Murphy starred in many notable roles, including 8 Mile, Clueless, Uptown girls, and Riding In Cars With Boys.
